Basic rooms very basic and run down, however, new block very good all mod cons, but building work going on, in a few months this hotel will be upgraded.

What an amzing hotel, the room i stayd in was amazing fit for a king, so big and clean & chilled, made my stay so great, the pool is nice as well but was a little busy with kidz when i was there, right next to lamai beach which is a great beach to chill and swim.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, if you needed something they would deal with it right away, i would stay here again in a flash as the location is top notch for beach, shopping and nightlife.
Hope to go back here one day

Please do not take standard room of this hotel. It is an old building where rooms are not in proper condition. I was lucky as rooms in the superior section were empty. I paid extra and stayed there. The swimming pool looked like polluted and nobody was using it. The hotel looked empty and just gave an impression that the management is least bothered about it. Lamai Beach and Chewang are the best beaches in Koh Sumai but Weekender Resort spoiled its charm

The hotel supplied a form for reporting problems/complaints. I reported a broken bedside lamp twice. It was never fixed, never replaced. The advertised fare for airport transit was 300 baht, but we were charged 500 baht. The bath towels were worn thin and ragged. The beach towels were good. The internet service was not working. The location/beach is excellent; too bad they house their late-reservations guests in such slovenly rooms in the old building.
