this hotel was just ok,everyone from the doorman to the guy at the taxi desk will try and rip you off,the hotel turns a blind eye.

make sure you get a room in the back side of the hotel because the front side is noisy.

Viengtai is situated in a really good location, very convenient for eating, shopping, sight-seeing and close to Phra Atit road where you can take quiet evening strolls by the pier. The service is good and I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, it had a tasty mix of western and thai food. However, be prepared to bring a toothbrush or buy one outside because the hotel did not provide any. Shops with cheap internet service and international calling are very close by and a meal at any of the food stalls are incredible.

We arrived in the morning about 5:30 am instead of in the evening as announced, yet we were immediately offered a room without additional charge. They also retained our luggage a whole day after checking out without additional charge. Very good and friendly service, excellent!

Nice friendly large hotel in heart of backpackers district. Facilities were overall good however rooms needed updating and could have been cleanlier. Good breakfast buffet.

Vietai hotel is conviniently located. Breakfast is good. Rooms are very modest, but I would stay in this hotel again.
