The arrival check in took 20 minutes. We were asked to sit an the guest area for checkin. The coffee table was dirty, filled with ash tray, wiped guest cloth and dirty glasses. We were given a room right across a worker staging room staff carrying trays and carts, banging at the door. We finally protested and was given another room. At this time, we were totally exhausted. The manager asked us to have a drink in the hotel lounge to listen to the Indonesian music. We were shown to a table and we barely sat down and the another waitress came and asked us to leave because the table had already been reserved. We booked a dream package which includes a spa voucher but the hotel spa was completely booked and we did not even get a chance to use the voucher. The hotel room was filthy and there were grapes on the carpet, left over from the previous guest stay. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with the hotel, and the service.

Facilities very nice; all staff very helpful and friendly. Some minor items of hardware and service not yet reflective of true 5-star resort.

Westin Langkawi offer the best honeymoon destination, with excellent facilities, friendly staff, great food and a location to die for. It was everything and more than we could have asked for.

We upgraded from the delux Ocean view room our original booking (which for a five star resort was very disapointing) to a private Villa which was excellent but very, very expensive.
The level of cleanliness and food served in the taste restaurent was outstanding, together with the superb service provided by the chefs and restauraunt staff.
