hotel room was spacious however i booked an ocean view and was given a room on floor 3 which only afforded gilimses of the ocean....The service was adequate however was a taxi ride from patong beach.,,I would have prefered a location closer as he shuttle bus only runs twice a day

The hotel was generally very good. Good value for the money. Our departure was marred, however, by our unceremonious treatment at the hands of the management. Even though our flight was leaving at 9 PM the day we checked out, the management refused to let us stay in the room a second longer than 12 noon (official checkout time). They also called us at 10 minutes to noon to ask if we were ready to leave - rather unpleasant treatment at the end of an otherwise lovely stay.

The hotel was away from the main attraction, which is the reason I booked the hotel. It was very pleasant and the people were nice. The streetcar to the hotel was very unexpected. There were a lot of bugs, which some made a lot of noise at night. Overall, I was very happy with the hotel and wish I could have stayed longer.

I paid 10% of the fee via the website - at my arrival at the Thavorn i was asked to pay the remaining 90% straight away (the rule is that you pay at your departure, not at your arrival) - the manager was very rude and inpolite - he kept repeating me that it was the hotel policy and if i did not pay, i could not get the room and that there was plenty of people in the waiting list to get my room - the policy of advance payment was never mentioned in the reservation via the website - I will never return to the thavorn and i will make sure my friends wont go there either

If you want to get away from it all this is the place for you, an amazing beach, about 3 swimming pools to choose from, i stayed in the bungalow near the beach andthis was very peaceful, very friendly staff.
I stayed here on my own, which is ok, but would recommend for a couple to stay here as its a very romantic place and only 5 mins from patong if you fancy a crazy night.
There is a pier which you can walk down, great to watc the sunset with a beer or 2.

the hotel is located near patong but far enough to relax. the sevice was of excellent quality. this hotel is rather for people which want to really relax and not have additional things to think of. the private beach is quiet and nobody is bothering you as there is no public access.

Very good hotel for a good price, private beach
One negative points all the price in the restaurant is very expensive for this country.
