01/12/2008 DRIVE FRM S'PORE, REACH HOTEL ABT 3PM, V.NICE LOBBY, ROOM WAS UP TO S'POREAN STANDARD, POOLS WAS GOOD FOR MY 4 KIDS, BEACH SO SO, B.FAST OK FOR ASIAN, HOTEL FOOD FOR GROUP OF 8 WAS VERY EXPENSIVE, BETTER TO EAT OUTSIDE OF HOTEL, LESS THAN HALF PRICE WHAT YOU WILL PAY IN HOTEL, OVERALL WAS GOOD FOR ALL OF US.

The hotel condition is superb. Very comfortable and the children loves the strong sea waves and the kampong views....

Food is not adequate. Local fare for a Hotel like that?? Nasi Lemak and stuff.
Buffet dinner not even a salmon - nor smoked nor fresh.
Badly cooked as well. Pizza had hard frozen type supermarket base -yak.

Nice hotel, but it will be better if there is carpet on the floor inside hotel room as feel cool when stepping on the floor at night time.

has 5 star rate for the hotel, but the breakfast only can rated by 3 star !!!

i request (internet form) for king bed size but no action taken. so, i asked for a change. the second room was not in a ready condition with no bathrobe and dusty table.
i decided to extend as i reached late (8pm++) and asked for another room for the 2nd night - still no action taken even the hotel promised me that i can have another new room.
breakfast as so-so only. come on, nasi lemak with chicken rendang only meh? (despite the normal western etc)

renovated sea view rooms were good, but somehow, room floors were always sandy, even after cleaning. porters were always very helpful, but activities need to be more consistent. We planned on batick printing for the kids, only to find it canceled due to some other group acitivities requiring the staff, and there was not notification. Will stay again.

Great breakfast and evening buffet. There is not much to do in Kuantan. On the beach there was also not much to do; beach was dirty. Swimmingpool was nice and clean.
