Value for money...pleasant experience ..highly motivated staff extending great hospitality...my family enjoyed thoroughly at Sugar Palm Resort, Katha. Would love to come back.

The Sugar Palm Resort and Spa was a home away from home. The staff was very freindly and helpful. The facilities are clean and modern and the beach is right down the road. There are many restaurents and shops in the area so there is always something to do, however if you want to go downtown to bars and clubs (Patong) it is a little far but you can bargain a tuk tuk ride fro 350Bahts. There is free internet available (which was great!) and you can rent movies. I was staying alone and I felt safe at the Sugar Palm Resort and Spa.

The hotel was hard to find. If you are driving your own car be prepared to give up your keys to the security as the parking facilities were not that good. The signs say either give key to security or leave car in neutral which was not a problem. Getting into the hotel was sort of cramped and tight spaces. The location and closeness to the beach were great. The pictures on the internet are different than actuality. The workout room is about as big as a closet. The pool area was fairly dark. The layout of the hotel is very chopped up. Getting to the third floor there was no elevator to the third floor. The rooms themselves were tastefully decorated. The bed was about average for a Thai hotel. The breakfast buffet was not that good. The fruit selection was okay nothing fancy or extraordinary. The orange juice was from a mix rather than real juice. The balcony was small and cramped. I would not recommend this hotel to other friends. I am sure that we will not stay at this hotel again in the near future.

Is good to have a hotel within walking distance to the beautiful Kata Beach, at such an economic price. Easily accessible to food stall and souvenier buying place. But the Taxi rate is a bit ridiculous.

I lived in a city view room at 2nd floor.The room is big and quite.But the hotel staff seems not enough so the room maked up need to exted to 6PM.

Great value for money. Good location, just 150 meters to the beach. Only gripe is the very limited selections for breakfast.
