My comments on Siam City Hotel as at 24 March 2008 as follows:-
1) 5 mins walk to PhayaThai BTS which is 2 stops (6mins) from SIAM BTS.
2) 20min walk or 7 min by tuk-tuk to Platinum Mall, Pantip & Pratunam Mkt. (nothing to see between hotel and pratunam malls).
3) 7-11 located 80m from hotel entrance.
4) Superb breakfast spread!
5) Nicely appointed rooms but on the small side. Lovely lemongrass scented soap.
6) Hotel Spa is overly priced so recommend Rangnam Spa which is 15mins walk away (ask hotel reception for directions) for good clean massage.
7) Exactly 30mins to Suvarnabhumi Airport by cab.
Overall, I give the hotel a 4/5 star rating for my personal satisfaction value.

The hotel was lovely, the staff very attentive. I was very annoyed about ALL list prices being subject to 10% service charge and 7% VAT a whopping hike of 17%. When I ask for a price, that is what I expect to pay.

Siam City is a gracious, elegant and family friendly hotel with extremely professional service and friendly staff. I highly recomend staying at Siam City, the facilities (including pool area) are immaculate and the location is very convenient for shopping, etc. My family and I were very happy with our value for money.

I was a bit disappointed at the English language level at the reception/registration area, and the gym equipment is antiquated. Otherwise, the place is lovely.
