We had a fantastic time in Phuket, the Sheraton Laguna was amazing and we could not have been happier.

The Shearton Grande is a very beautiful resort, the staff a extremely helpful and friendly.We stayed in one of the Lagoon Villas this room had wonderful views out over the lagoon. prices at the restaurants and bars are higher as you would expect, prices at the the beach ( from the hawkers)for drinks were a lot cheaper. Being able to travel to the other resorts by boat was a great way of being able to expand our dining experience.
It is probably a little to far from Patong or busier areas to experience Phuket for real but if you just want to rest and not explore then this is the place to stay. The hotel will organise day trips.
A great place for families with young children. Baby elephants up close and personal every day.
The beach is lovely to look at but not a safe place for even the best of swimmers .
Red flags with no swimming warning and no life guards. Not able to cool off in the sea .
I would stay here again but at the end of my stay in Thailand.
Service and tax charges also add up at the end.

The hotel is 4 star and fading. They overcharge for the island villas - $430 USD is too much for the quality offered.

Excellent location. The hotel is in need of some minor refurbishment which is being undertaken. Bars and restaurants are very expensive compared to local offerings. Overall a very good short break, staff are friendly and helpful.
