If anyone want to have a great vacation on the beaches of Thailnd, Railay is the place to be, and The Railay Village Resort, Krabi is a great hotel.

This hotel is beautiful. The rooms and grounds are brand new and absolutely gorgeous. However, I would not stay there again, because the service was terrible. There was not one single bilingual staff member, not very helpful for a hotel that advertises on English-speaking websites and attracts international visitors. This meant there were no requests that could be accomodated and no information could be given on tours, local services or anything. Check-in staff were rude and made little attempt to communicate, by comparison, staff at other hotels practiced their English constantly and the second place we moved to, rather than extend our stay at Railay Village even had a Thai-English dictionary at the front desk.
Restaurant staff were the worst, one even made lewd gestures and noises towards my (very modestly dressed I might add) sister at breakfast. There were up to 10 staff standing around the restaurant at any one time but nobody offered us coffee, set or cleared the tables or did anything at all, despite there being less than a dozen guests there at any one time. And there was no one to complain to because no one spoke English!! Appalling.
And we both developed a rash on the first day, we think because of some very harsh cleaning fluids used in the bathroom.
