Pattawia is a good choice if you want to be in a quiet place (the hotel is close to Evason), on a beach front (but at high tide, no way to be on the beach. The 3 pools are great. Rooms are big enough and a smiling service from all staff. No breakfast buffet during low season on weekdays.

Hotel is a fairly good - probably a 3.5 star quality. Lobby is quite basis - rooms are good. Quite far from Hua Hin. It is on oceanfront but no beach!. Need to catch a complementary bus (10min) to get to beach. Good if you want to just chill out for a couple of days by the pool. Took about 3 hours from bankok domestic airport to get to hotel by taxi (2300B)
