Good location, receptions staff friendly. Pool area is lacking service, pool bar most of the time unattended. Rubbish is not removed from he pool area for days, such as meal plates, bottles etc.

Service at the pool area bad , food and drinks stands there for two days before removed . Toilet was not really fixed and turned a bit loose while using it . Bungalows situated direct to the pools could be harmed with noising when people are sitting outside at the pool area . Staff or security should have an eye on that an advise people for quietness.

The front desk lady (21 March 2008 night shift only) really unacceptable. The way she talk so rude and bad. I speak in English but she cursing me in Thai, which I understood fluently. I had 2 friends from other hotel coming in with me to check in, and that lady told me 1 person extra 900Bath. I told her, they just company me in, and not staying. She keep insisting 900 each. WTF!! I wish badly I can reject this hotel on spot.

As soon as we checked into the "Bungalow" room (one of the more higher priced rooms), we were dissappointed. We were overcome with the smell of cigarette smoke. They sprayed the room and the air intake and that helped a little bit. I suppose the hotel should not be criticized for the actions of the previous guests...but the smoke stench was just awful. The ceiling needed some obvious plaster repair. Also, to get from the hotel you have to walk through an alley off the main street through several vendors selling their textiles so that becomes very uncomfortable getting solicited every time walking to and from the hotel...although none of them were overly aggressive. The bright spot about this place is that the entire staff we encountered at Patong Villa was very friendly and very helpful. The price was fair considering it was during peak season.
