Overall experience at the hotel was fair to slightly above average. But the location of the hotel (far from tourist belt) leaves much to be desired.

This hotel is a couple of Km away from old city in suburban location. The rooms are a bit old and surprised that it has been tagged as a Novotel. Rooms are like a 3 star hotel and lobby/restaurant are like a 3.5 star place. The pool area is very small and uninviting. (Does not get a lot of sun at all!)
Would recommend staying in the old city for the full changmai experience!

The overall experience was nice. My wife accompanied me on this trip. She was listed on the reservation and she was present during the check in process. She is a Thai citizen and she did receive some looks and was questioned by hotel staff during our stay that did make her feel uncomfortable. There is an obvious problem with prostitution in Thailand and Thai women are often subject to suspicion of this behavior. This is common practice in Thailand.
The exercise facility was disappointing.

Please provide free rides to the Airport Plaza Shopping Mall. The Lanna food stalls offer good Lanna food. My frens & I booked the van sevice infront of the hotel. After bargaining and taking our deposit, the manager (claimed to be) in charged changed the itinerary and asked for extra bahts if we want to go to those places.

Fairly rated. Hotel appeared to be a serviced apartment. The lighthing upon entrance the lobby look very dull. Lighting is too dim. Atmosphere do not feel excited.

This hotel is not comparable with the standard of Novotel in general. It is not a 4 star hotel. The condition of the bathrooms are not really on the latest level. The breakfast buffet is also not really "complete".
Staff is very friendly. In general it is ok, but NOT a 4 star hotel.
