The Cliff is a beautiful boutique resort located in Ao Nang very close to the main tourist strip which makes it very convinient. However the rooms are extremaly small with no where to store your travel accessories such as your suitcase etc... The bathrooms are outside which is a lovely touch until you decide you want to go to the toilet. Your toilet and the next door neighbors toilet is separtaed by a very thin bambo fence. You can hear all of the happenings whilst you are in your room with the bed room door closed. If you happen to be in the bathroom whilst your neighbor is going about there business you can not only hear all of the happenings but also smell them aswell which is a little tastless. This also goes for the fact that breakfast is served at your front door which is lovely but however once again you can hear everything that is happening in your neighbors room. Whilst the breakfast and hotel facilties were lovely as were the staff I would not stay at this hotel again and I would not recommend it to my friends or family. It lacks basic privacy which is generally what a holiday is about. I did not feel comfortable staying there and made ensure each of my days there were full so I only needed to back and sleep.
Also if you do decide to stay here please ensure you take mosquito repellent..../ there are millions in the bathroom and you get attacked when u go to the toilet.

The rooms are very small and dark, and due to the extremely close proximity of public areas the curtains must remain closed at all times. i would not stay here again at any price.

It was the best hotel we booked in Thailand! Excellent service,beautifyl place and splendid room.I only have good words to describe my experience in Cliff Ao Nang resort.I will recommend it and of course go there again!!

lovely guest house. major disadvantage was the outside bathroom. we were both bitten badly by mosquitos everytime we went to bathroom. we would not use it again for this reason.

Excellent and personal services by hotel staffs. Location is perfect, not too far from ao nang beach/fun, yet quiet and peaceful at night.perfect resort feel

We were looking forward to staying at this hotel after reading reviews and and other info about the property. We were very disappointed however upon check-in. The hotel in no way lived up to the description. The property description says it is up in the cliffs...it is not. There is hardly a view of the surrounding cliffs. Our room was so small and we were put on the side of the hotel where major construction was taking place next door. Starting at 7am every day of our stay, the work was so noisy it was a complete disturbance. There was debris and rocks falling from the work next door onto the plastic roof of our outdoor shower. It was almost dangerous in my opinion. The hotel was not accommodating whatsoever - they could not move our room and offered no reduced rate or anything else to make-up for this. I would never stay at this hotel again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

This hotel was amazing, it was very small and personal. the staff were fantastic. we did not leave the pool side. we had a great holiday and wished we had longer there. we will be returning to this hotel very soon. this really was 5*....
