Blue Ocean is for those seeking budget accomodation however be aware the facilities are definately NO FRILLS and more suited to young people rather than families. make sure you take all toiletries ( shampoo, conditoner etc ) and hair dryer as these are not supplied for usage.

The hotel is unbeleivable. Granted it is not the fanciest place but it is fabulous. There is a large chain hotel about 2 blocks away but when going there you loose lots of the culture of Thailand. For a wonderful and very cultural experience Blue Ocean is definately the way to go. You will also not find a staff as wonderful as the staff at Blue Ocean Resort. Thank you so much for the absolutely AMAZING experience. We will return to Thailand and will DEFINATELY return to Blue Ocean Resort.

Was asked for the balance of the amount of arrival, but as we had no cash, we paid by credit card card and was debited the full price. This was recitfied the following day, but the mistake should not have occurred in the first instant.

Very helpful and polite staff. Lovely pool (except the waterfall never worked in my time there). Jas at reception always willing to help out. Other guests at the hotel seemed to enjoy themselves. Cleaning staff always friendly. Not a bad place to stay.

first a little wary but when slept and refreshed i was very comfortable. mr eck sue and the staff made me more thsn commfortable.

Rooms are clean and spacious and conveniently located, only a short 3 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute walk to night life. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. we will definitely stay there again.

I have stayed here a number of times in the past. Unfortunately, I will not stay there again. The maintenace of the hotel has deterioated noticable. I stayed there during the raining season and the roof in my room leaked. After a heavy rain water rain down the wall and puddled in the middle of my room. On the positive side the staff is excellent. I brought friends with me. They asked for a Superior room but when they arrived they were given a "standard" room. It was awful. It was under the stairs, dark and dingy. The hotel charged them for one nights lodging so they stayed and moved out the next day. The rumor is that the management is building a new hotel elsewhere and that not much has been done here. I did not see the waterfall in the pool, which use to run all the time, run at all when I was there. The mats on every, every, pool chair was ripped or torn. Unfornately, the place is not in the same condition as it was the first time I stayed there three years ago.
