The hotel is very run down, i would not stay in the Berjaya Tioman Suites again. The other part of the resort looks much nicer.

Tioman Suites are a long distance from hotel restaurants. Transport is required to get to f&b or anything apart from pool

I would not stay at The Suites again as there are no facilities in the immediate area, they all are 10 mins away, and that on a truck departing every 1/2 hour.
The room was poor, no furniture on the balconies, infestation of large black ants in kitchen/bathrooms and no kitchen equipment or crockery/cutlery.

We were dissapointed with several aspects of our stay at Berjaya Tioman Suites. The rooms themselves were large and spacious but there were no facilities for food and drink at the suites. We were required to take the bus to the main resort. This in itelf is not a big deal, but the bus did not stick to the schedule and we were left waiting for half an hour at a time for the bus to take us and our 2 small children to the main resort. This is highly inconvenient with a small baby who requires specific feeding and nap times. Additionally we had a kitchen in the suite which was great, but no food to buy anywhere!!! How do we cook with no food to buy? this was highly inconvenient. In the end our only solution was to insist that the room service menu be provided to us at the suites - this is not usually provided, but since we could not use the restaurant facilities at the main resort due to the requirement to take the bus and the need to have early evening meals with our 2 children this is all we could do, as we could not cook a meal for ourselves. In general I would also say that the reception staff at the suites are not very helpful either. We rushed to check out at the resort on the last day, took the bus down to the lobby only to be told that the plane was delayed by an hour - now we should have been informed of this by the reception staff at the suites, who knew that we were rushing to leave. We could have spent the extra hour at the suites and not waiting in the lobby at the main resort - simple poor communication which led to another disspointment with the hotel. Great location, good resort facilities, but the negatives led overall to a poor opinion of the resort as a whole. The rooms were also shabby, tired and old.

Overall the hotel was fine although our suite was locvated a schuttle bus away with no restaurant or store that even had cold drinks. Everytime we wished to eat we would have to wait for a schuttle bus and hopefully it was not full so we could get one. The rooms where fair but needed a re vamp as quite dated and rough around the edges! The staff where ok but most of them did not seem to know all that much about the resort or could not give us any details of any activities at the resort. The room even though it had a kitchen had no cutlery, plates or even a bottle opener! The linen was quite damp and the room felt as if no one had been in it for a while so was damp and smelt quite mouldy. If this hotel had a re vamp it would be great and a restaurant at the suites and a few more schuttle buses every 15min instead of half hour would be great. The golf course was beautiful but did need to be maintained better. Diving and snorkling was fantastic even if the staff on the boat dissapeared for an hour to get there lunch at one stop!
